Manufacturing Sales registered RM59.1 billion in September 2016

The sales value of the Manufacturing sector in September 2016 recorded RM59.1 billion, an increase of 1.1% (RM0.6 billion) as compared to RM58.5 billion reported a year ago.

Total employees engaged in the Manufacturing sector in September 2016 was 1,028,739 persons, an increase of 0.2% or 1,585 persons as compared to 1,027,154 persons in September 2015.

Salaries & wages paid in September 2016 increased by 7.5% (RM225.8 million) to record RM3,251.8 million.

Productivity increased by 0.9% to record RM57,446 as compared with the same month of the previous year.
