This publication presents statistics on the Administrative and support services which obtained from Economic Census 2023 for reference year 2022. Administrative and support services comprise Rental and leasing activities; Employment activities; Travel agency, tour operator, and reservation service activities; Security and investigation activities; Services to buildings and landscape activities; and Office administrative and other business support activities. 

Overall, the main statistics of Administrative and support services in 2022 showed an increase as compared to 2015. In 2022, the number of establishments operating in this services was 32,488 establishments which registered an annual growth rate of 8.4 per cent compared to 18,432 establishments in 2015. The value of gross output in 2022 amounted to RM31.7 billion (2015: RM27.1 billion), with an annual growth rate of 2.3 per cent. Concurrently,the value of intermediate input also increased by RM2.2 billion to reach RM18.8 billion, recording an annual growth rate of 1.8 per cent. This resulted in a value added of RM12.8 billion in 2022(2015: RM10.5 billion). 

The  number of persons  engaged were  204,202  persons, compared to 173,6928  persons in 2015,  showing an annual growth  rate of 2.3 per cent. In  line  with the increment,  total  salaries & wages grew by 4.2 per cent to RM5.3 billion  (2015: RM4.0 billion). Meanwhile,  the  value of fixed  assets  owned by  establishments for  Administrative  and support  services  amounted to RM12.9 billion in 2022 (2015: RM11.6 billion), indicates an annual growth rate of 1.5 per cent.
