This publication presents statistics for Arts, entertainment, and recreation services based on the Economic Census conducted in 2023 for the reference year 2022. These services comprise Creative, arts and entertainment; Museums, amusement and cultural; and Sports & recreation.

In 2022, the number of establishments operating in Arts, entertainment, and recreation services was 7,561 establishments. These services generated a gross output value of RM22.5 billion and intermediate input of RM13.1 billion. Subsequently, total value added for these services was RM9.4 billion. For number of persons engaged, these services recorded 71,004 persons in 2022 with salaries & wages of RM1.7 billion. Meanwhile, fixed assets owned by establishments in the Arts, entertainment, and recreation services registered RM7.5 billion in 2022.
