Sales value of Wholesale & Retail Trade recorded RM136.0 billion in April 2023, registered a growth of 6.3 per cent year-on-year. The positive growth was contributed by Retail Trade 12.9 per cent and Wholesale Trade 3.2 per cent.

In terms of volume index, Wholesale & Retail Trade registered 4.7 per cent year-on-year to record 147.3 points. The increment was supported by the increase in Retail Trade 10.0 per cent and Wholesale Trade 3.4 per cent. As for seasonally adjusted volume index, it went up 6.5 per cent month-on-month in April 2023.
