Sales value of Wholesale & Retail Trade recorded RM138.5 billion in June 2023, registered a growth of 4.3 per cent year-on-year. The positive growth was contributed by all sub-sectors, namely Retail Trade 5.8 per cent, Motor Vehicles 3.4 per cent, and Wholesale Trade 3.1 per cent.

In terms of volume index, Wholesale & Retail Trade registered 3.1 per cent year-on-year to record 148.8 points. The increase was supported by Wholesale Trade 4.5 per cent and Motor Vehicles 3.1 per cent. As for seasonally adjusted volume index, it went down -2.2 per cent month-on-month in June 2023.
